I have a 2008 white Macbook, and am looking to get a data plan to connect to the internet while in a rural area that has excellent cell-phone reception. I see that companies like Verizon and AT&T have data plans, but I can't figure out what I need to actually have and do to make those plans work on my Macbook.
Do I need a special card or any other additional hardware?
What is a good data plan that has no annual contract?
How do I actually go about signing up for it (the wireless companies' websites are confusing)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
